The 7.8 magnitude earthquake on the Pakistan-Iran border rocked large parts of India, including Delhi and its adjoining areas. There were no immediate reports of casualties.

The tremors lasted several seconds leading to panic in many places, and people rushed out of their offices and homes in Delhi. Similar reports came in from Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. Tremors also shook Ahmedabad and other parts of Kutch and south Gujarat.

Mild tremors were felt in parts of Rajasthan.

Chennai police believe a large number of computer savvy young people who look to their special cell for marital counselling, are in fact software engineers, most of whom end up divorcing. Oddly in most cases the husband and wife were in the same profession.

One lawyer says 'ego is the main reason, with spouses earning equally well and neither willing to compromise on the hiccups that intersperse every marriage.

One psychologist says work stress and long working hours too contribute to the breakup factors. Other influences are parents who sometimes counsel their children but others take sides, worsening the divide.

A study called 'Social Media and Lok Sabha Elections' jointly conducted by the RIS Knowledge Foundation and the Internet and Mobile Association of India, says that of the total of 543 constituencies in the 2014 general elections, 160 high impact constituencies are likely to be influenced by social media.

These high impact constituencies are those where Facebook users account for over 10 percent of the voters.

Maharashtra has the most number of high impact constituencies at 21, followed by Gujarat with 17.

Parents who have no news about their missing children have decided to form a group called Tera Bachcha Mera Bachcha. With the help of social activists, police and software specialists, updated information on their missing children and persons from the city and state, parents and relatives, they are more confident about getting some news on their relatives who have not been traced even after an FIR was filed several months earlier.

Social activist Vinod Jain and Satyasheel Jagdale were instrumental in bringing the group together. They ask that a) people make a list of missing girls and boys available to observation homes in the city b) a separate listing of senior citizens be made available to old age homes across the city and c) a comprehensive list of missing persons of all ages and genders be given to beggar's dwellings in the city.

For the first time in the history of India, the Supreme Court has an all women bench consisting of bench head Justice Gyan Sudha Misra and Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai to hear cases at Court No. 4.

The all women bench is temporary and may be just for the day as Justice Aftab Alam who normally sits in court 4 is unavailable.

The Supreme Court has just two women Justices.
