Son murders mother for nagging ! Nilesh Gawli, 21, whose mother Nanda allegedly constantly nagged him about being unemployed, picked a fight with her one evening after she again repremanded him for being without a job. Nilesh flew into a fit of rage and strangled his mother. To drown out her screams he turned up the volume of the TV and suffocated her with a pillow. Just then his 12-year-old stepsister came into the room and tried to stop Nilesh but she could not save Nanda.

Nilesh then called the police and informed them of the crime and then went personally to the police station in Andheri, Mumbai, and gave himself up. He told police he is relieved and has no remorse but instead feels a heavy burden was lifted, because of her he could not achieve anything in life.

Two years ago after Nilesh failed his Grade X exams he tried his hand at various hotel jobs, but kept job-hopping. He quit his most recent job some three months ago and stayed at home all day.

Nilesh has been charged with murder and was remanded to police custody.
