Delhi police constable stabbed to death by minor girlfriend A 23-year-old Delhi police constable was stabbed to death with a kitchen knife allegedly by his girlfriend who is a minor, after they had a spat over their future during her visit to his home.
Alarmed by the severity of the wound, the girl then rushed him to hospital with the help of a neighbour, but he was declared dead on arrival by doctors who said the cause of death, prima facie, was excessive bleeding from the stab wounds.

Police sources say the two hailed from Haryana and had been romantically involved for three years. The man joined the Delhi police in 2007.

The girl whose age was not disclosed by authorities, has been detained and will be produced before the juvenile justice board.

Dowry Scourge : Woman locked in cowshed, gangraped by husband's relatives Unable to meet dowry demands a woman aged 20 was allegedly locked in a cowshed for three years and repeatedly raped by her husband, his relatives and neighbours in a village in Sagar.

The woman faced sexual abuse for 36 months till she was sold to a moneylender for Rs.50,000, because her parents could not pay more dowry to her in-laws.

When she fell critically ill, a neighbour took her to hospital, but he too allegedly raped her on the way.

In a chance encounter a relative of the victim saw her at the moneylenders house and reported the matter to her father who rescued her from the monsters.

Teenage lovers kill girl's mother for objecting to their affair Gurusimran Kaur 16, and her boyfriend Moin Aslam Shaikh 17, were detained by police in Nashik, for killing the girl's mother Gurvinder Kaur Singh 40, and dumping her body in a Ghat.

Police say the teenagers met at RYK college and were romantically involved. The girl's mother objected to their relationship and on a day when Gurvinder and her daughter Gurusimran had a quarrel over the issue, the girl told her beau of the quarrel. Shortly after the boyfriend went to Kaur's home armed with a knife and attacked Guruvinder as Gurusimran strangled her mother with a pillow. They then transported the body to the Ghat and dumped it there.

The deceased woman's brother had lodged a missing person report that led to the police detaining the couple who allegedly confessed to their crime.

Village head booked for publicly stripping family Jammu & Kashmir police booked village sarpanch Aslam Khan and his father deputy sarpanch Abdul Ahad Khan, and a dozen other men who dragged labourer Abdul Majid and his family out of their home.

Majid said he was paraded naked and the clothes of his wife, mother and another female relative were torn off in public. He said the two sarpanches did this at the behest of his uncle over a property dispute.

Sarpanch Abdul Ahad Khan denies the charges and says the villagers can prove his innocence.

Police have not made any arrests thus far.

Missed mobile call started love affair and ended in murder Some months ago Karthamada Kuttanna got a missed call on his mobile. He called the number back which belonged to Geetha 30, who worked in a Coimbatore factory, and the two struck up a friendship over the phone. In May Kuttana expressed a desire to meet Geetha and invited her to Virajpet.

The couple stayed at a lodge and Kuttanna had sex with Geetha, got her drunk and strangled her to death with a nylon rope.

In his statement to police Kuttanna said he was disappointed when he met Geetha as she was not as beautiful as he had expected and moreover, she was married with two children. Kuttanna said she lied about her marital status and he felt cheated.

Kuttanna has been remanded to judicial custody and a cash reward for the team that solved the case has been declared SP Manjunath Annigeri.
