Jaya Bachchan and Rekha put distance between their Parliament seats
Report dated 05/05/2012 @ 1:18 PM

State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Rajeev Shukla, had to dig deep to negotiate the Rajya Sabha minefield, by reassigning seats for two special members, namely Jaya Bachchan and Rekha. He deftly worked out a solution after some careful permutations he has swapped Mrs Bachchan's seat with another party colleague and seated her far away from Rekha. The two yester-year stars are 'rumoured' to be love rivals of Amitabh Bachchan ! It is normally customary for all Rajya Sabha members nominated by the president to be seated together. However Minister Shukla has won this round of not-so-musical chairs, but given the rumour that Sachin Tendulkar will be in the company of Javed Akhtar, one wonders if the game is actually over.
