'PM is corrupt, now India has corrupt President as well !' : Team Anna Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal said "The Prime Minister is corrupt, now we have a corrupt President as well".

Speaking at a rally in Delhi, Kejriwal promised to release proof of corruption against Pranab Mukherjee during an indefinite fast to be launched on July 25, when Mukherjee is to be sworn in as President.

Team Anna spoke against the UPA government for its alleged inaction in tackling corruption and threatened to 'fight to the finish' and end their agitation only after they get solutions to their demands that include setting up a special panel to probe corruption allegations against PM Manmohan Singh and his Cabinet colleagues.

Former Karnataka minister offered Rs.100 crore to judge for bail Former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhana Reddy has been arrested in a case related to cash-for-bail as his relatives were allegedly prepared to offer Rs100 crore to raise bail for him.

The Chief Judge of a Small Causes Court, K Lakshmi Narasimha Rao has been arrested by the state Anti-Corruption Bureau and confessed that a relative of Reddy made the offer. He is now suspended and is himself in judicial custody after first being in ACB custody.

Mumbai jewellers jailed for refusing to pay bribes The Mulund Jewellers Welfare Association members, 23 jewellers filed a petition in the Bombay High Court seeking action against 6 policemen who detained them under false charges because they had refused to pay them bribes.

They say they were summoned to the police station in January and asked to pay a bribe, saying one of the traders bought jewellery from a thief. Smaller jewellers were asked to pay Rs.5000 a month and bigger ones Rs.10,000.

When they refused they were arrested on false charges and put in jail, they were allegedly also physically and mentally tortured.

The High Court has called for the police department and the Maharashtra government to produce the case papers.

Team Anna accuses the Prime Minister and his cabinet of corruption Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal at a public meeting in Rewari, accused 15 UPA ministers of being steeped in corruption and said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh "too is not completely untainted"

He continued, saying had the Jan Lokpal Bill been enacted by Parliament all the corrupt minister at the Centre would have been behind bars.

He demanded the establishment of fast track courts for the disposal of cases related to corrupt MPs be decided within six months.

Chandigarh police more corrupt that its revenue department ! A reply to a Right to Information query sought by a local resident revealed that the police department of the Chandigarh administration is more corrupt than the revenue department of the Chandigarh administration.

The reply also stated that 27 out of 65 policemen have been convicted, and15 have been acquitted by the CBI trial court. On the other hand 4 revenue department officials were convicted, 1 is under trial and 1 has been acquitted in the absence of a prosecution sanction of the Chandigarh administration.

The 65 police personnel were arrested for accepting bribes and included personnel in the ranks of constables to Inspectors including 1 sitting Station House Officer.
