Report dated 18/09/2011 @ 1:35 AM

UK NRI millionaire could be jailed for dangerous driving Tarlochan Singh 34, a millionaire property developer could face jail after a Coventry court found him guilty of dangerous driving.
Tarlochan was in the car with his nephew at the time and was driving at 30 mph in a 5 mph zone.

Singh allegedly nearly killed Nasreen Singh 50, who was thrown 'like a rag doll' over the bonnet of his Ferrari Spider when he hit her and her son Shaffad Jabbar Khan 30, outside a McDonald's restaurant in Coventry last year.

The Judge warned Singh he would probably be jailed as dangerous driving carries a sentence of up to two years.

Singh who has also been disqualified from driving for a minimum of a year responded saying his flip-flop was trapped under the accelerator pedal and accused his victims of being 'jealous' of his car.

He admitted hitting the woman but claimed she made up her story and blew the incident out of proportion.

Singh was bailed and ordered to return to court for sentencing in October.

NRI Karate instructor accused of raping minor girl in Britain
Report dated 15/09/2011 @ 8:27 PM

NRI Karate instructor accused of raping minor girl in Britain Karate instructor Jaspal Riat 48, allegedly began a sexual relationship with a student aged 13 and continued with the alleged offences between February 2008 and May 2009.

The girl broke her silence about the affair when she was afraid she might be pregnant and confided in a school nurse. She however changed her story when the nurse said she would have to speak to her superiors, and claimed she had an 18 year old boyfriend.

According to the prosecutor in the court case against Riat, the martial arts instructor gushed with compliments, sexual comments and text messages, finally telling the teen he had fallen in love with her. The confused teenager was flattered by his attention, and one night Riat plied her with drinks at his flat before having sex with her. All she remembered was waking up in the morning naked in bed with the man having sex with her. It did not stop there, the sex continued on numerous occasions.

Sadly the girl died in May 2009 after taking a massive overdose of pills.

When questioned by police Riat said the girl sent him sexually seductive texts and pictures of herself and made the rape allegations because he would not let her train for her black belt.

Riat from Birmingham has denied two charges of raping the girl, one charge of sexual assault and eight charges of sexual activity with a child.
