Miley Na Miley Hum
Report dated 04/11/2011 @ 5:54 PM

Miley Na Miley Hum Cast: Chirag Paswan, Kangna Ranaut, Kabir Bedi, Poonam Dhillon

Who is most the important for a child: his father or mother, wonders little Chirag, the not-so-lucky victim of his parents' broken marriage. Perhaps both. Reason enough for the adult Chirag to alternate months of stay with either parents... And do exactly what each wants him to do. But how long can Chirag (Chirag Paswan) put up with this? Will there ever be a common meeting point between father, mother and son?

Now this one's been in the limelight for debutant Chirag Paswan. And he has managed to pull off a decent show for starters. But then one can't really do much -- even if it's a newcomer -- when the script is a compilation of been there and seen that moments.

Daddy (Kabir Bedi) wants his son to be tennis player and more importantly marry his best friend's punjabi kudi. Mommy (Poonam Dhillon), on the other hand, wants son to be a rich business tycoon and marry her best friend's London returned fashion designer daughter. Insecurities arise between the separated couple and the drama turns into a dad versus mom warfare. What does Chirag do then? He simply looks across the road, finds a billboard featuring wannabe model ( Kangna Ranaut) and decides to marry her. Just a small hitch: he has never met her. But meet he does... And fall in love he does too. All this and more till mommy and daddy get his point.

Don't really go looking for logic or something new in here. And don't even go looking for some high end drama. Case in point the couple in question. Unfortunately, both Poonam Dhillon and Kabir Bedi fail to bring out their insecurities for their only son. Special mention: Kangna once again lives up to her Tanu weds Manu comic avatar. Watch her haggle with cool cabs every now and then. Wish we could have more of her. As for Chirag, there's ample scope missed when it comes to emoting the pains of a broken home. But then, it's just his first.

Dunno if it's daddy-with-the-dough's efforts to promote the son he's doughnuts about, but to be fair, it's an honest debut and Chirag may have a future if he makes the right choices.
